How Gratitude Can Be Your Partner in Life

Are you constantly struggling with life? If so, you might be focusing on all the wrong things. Practising daily gratitude will help you to turn your life around. Want what you have and what you want will come to you!

Gratitude is one of the most important things you can practise if you want to manifest unlimited wealth. One of the best ways to keep abundance and wealth flowing into your life is to give thanks for what you have today. By focusing on what you already have, you allow yourself to receive even more, so it is really vital to practise true gratitude.

We live in a world that focuses on instant gratification. If we don?t have the money for something that we want to buy right now, then all we have to do is go to the bank and they are more than happy to loan us the money. As a result, many people are inundated in debt, and they become trapped in a neverending cycle of wanting, buying, and then spiralling deeper in debt.

When we get stuck in this cycle, we are constantly wanting things that we don?t have, and in the process, we forget to appreciate what we DO have; Every day, we remind ourselves of what we are missing in our lives, and we can?t begin to grasp the concept of gratitude. Instead, we say:

"When I have everything I want...THEN I'll be grateful!"

But that is not the way the Universe works....

Are you always comparing what you have with what others have, or wishing you could have what is advertised on TV? Or perhaps the people who live next door have a better car, a nicer house and more ?things to play with? than you. Of course, it doesn?t help when pictures of the "perfect family" with the "perfect life" are right on that TV screen in front of you every day. Do you feel deprived, frustrated or angry because you don?t have what seems to be on offer to everybody else?

Whatever your situation is, focusing on what is lacking in your life is the single most effective way to ensure that you remain in a state of scarcity.

You might ask this question: But How Can I Show Gratitude When I Don?t Have What I Want Yet? And that IS a good question; so here?s a good answer: Make A Habit Of It.

Now, if you have become accustomed to only seeing scarcity all around you, then my guess is that gratitude will be the last thing on your mind. So the suggestion I am going to make may be difficult for you at first; I would even go as far as to say that you may feel a bit resentful about having to do it.
Some people don?t want to take responsibility for the fact that they are not doing well financially. It?s so much easier for us to blame other people and outside circumstances for our lack of wealth; because if it?s all other people?s fault, then we don?t have to do anything ourselves in order for ?things to change??. right??

Well Okay, that?s fine if you?re happy for things to remain exactly as they are now. But if not, why not give this a go? You have everything to gain and nothing to lose! So make a commitment to change the way you see your life. Take stock of everything you have. You might be surprised and even amazed at all of the little things that you forgot are so special to you.
Begin by writing of all the positive things you have in your life. Who loves you? Who are your friends? What about your children?.how do they light up your life? These are just a few things that we forget about that add so much value and joy to our lives.

Practising gratitude each day will remind you of the good things in your life. Now, I don?t want to sound like a Pollyanna, but this is worth a try! If nothing else, it will help you feel better about your current life circumstances. Add something new to your gratitude list each day, and you?ll be amazed at how many great things you will be able to think of once you develop this skill!

When you are grateful for everything you already have, you open yourself up to attract more great things. The Law Of Attraction always makes sure that this will happen. Thank the Universal Source for everything you currently have, and you will invite and allow even more prosperity to come to you. Make gratitude a part of your daily routine....and witness miracles in your life!

Wealthy and Creative - How to apply Gratitude and Attract Riches

This cozy long weekend always reinforces the beauty of giving thanks. I have a lot to be thankful for.

Writing to all of you has been a great source of joy. I love hearing from you and connecting with you on a daily basis. It is a wonderful way for me to begin creating my day. Thank you.

One of my favorite writers, Wallace D. Wattles, has some fabulous reasons as to why gratitude is a key ingredient for success.

As creative beings we realize that All things are born out of a creative force. This unseen creativity is immense and powerful. It is energy made manifest. Money also is energy made manifest. The more energy you express creatively, the more comes into your world in the form of riches, or money.

Wattles writes, ?If it is a new thought to you that gratitude brings your whole mind into closer harmony with the creative energies of the universe, consider it well, and you will see that it is true.

?The good things you already have, have come to you along the line of obedience to certain laws. Gratitude will lead your mind out along the ways by which things come; and it will keep you in close harmony with creative thought and prevent you from falling into competitive thought.?

Being competitive wipes out any sparks of creativity. Being grateful instantaneously attracts a movement of blessings towards you. ?The law of gratitude is the natural principle that action and reaction are equal, and in opposite directions.

?But the value of gratitude does not consist solely in getting you more blessings in the future. Without gratitude you cannot long keep from dissatisfied thought regarding things as they are.?

He is saying that if you feel dissatisfied, switch gears, then find something, anything that you are grateful for. This alone transforms the unproductive energy of dissatisfaction into the wealth-producing energy of appreciation.

?It is necessary, then, to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you; and to give thanks continuously.?

And this next bit is really important. ?And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.?

Wow. What does this mean?

Well, take this moment to reflect on all that has happened to you. If you really look closely, every event has formed you into the beautiful, creative being you are today. So don?t look back in judgment. Give thanks even to those who you may have previously felt don?t deserve it.

You see, a judgmental world is a sad, depressive world. A world of gratitude is a joyous, peaceful, infinitely creative world. Only you can choose which world fits your needs.

Just remember. What you want wants you too. And being thankful for even the smallest event triggers a joyful creative force that may otherwise lay dormant forever. This creative force manifests into wealth thus allowing you, the creator, the freedom and joy to be all you can be.

The View From On High: What Is Gratitude?

I am thankful to have such a great group of fellow metaphysicians at our roundtable meeting last night at the Center. I am grateful that we were able to confer upon each other our various feelings and interpretations on the meaning of gratitude. But as we all realized, the gratitude and thanks we give does not need to be directed entirely at God. As we learned from Eric Butterworth in Spiritual Economics, the gratitude we give is more important for us-God is almighty and too universal to be dependent upon our thanksgiving. Most people in religion have viewed gratitude as a reactionary emotion, a "thanks for this" type of response.

Gratitude, however, is a "causative energy."

"Giving thanks is an important state of your consciousness that keeps you in an awareness of oneness with divine flow." (Butterworth, Spiritual Economics).

But what about when the divine flow seems at times to become the "divine no?" What about those moments when we look at the sluggish economy, the late breaking bad news on television or even personal crises? We do not have to be grateful for those things. We can choose to focus on the things we have at this moment, and to deny any lack of abundance in the Universe.

Butterworth's amazing perspective on the concept of gratitude show us that we can as easily be grateful as we can happy-and that existing so produces a causal effect on our lives-raising our consciousness to a more elevated level. Even in the midst of trials and tribulations, maintaining your mind in a state of appreciation for the ever abundant and omniscient presence of spirit and substance is all we need to get ourselves re-centered. The blessings we place on food, on homes and on other things in our lives are not really as much for God as they are for us; those blessings resonate through our own consciousness to remind us at this very moment how thankful are to exist within these things-even when we have very little.

"You are always projecting some kind of thought toward everything you have or hold." (Butterworth, Spiritual Economics).

While at the base level of our consciousness we might only see the dirty city streets, the crime and the business-viewing a city from on high we see a vision of a dazzling array of lights and wonder. It all depends from where we view life. We have to start our day and raise our consciousness by having a higher view of the things with which we are blessed. Butterworth says, "Always get the view from the top. Before you react to negativity to people, conditions and things, take a moment to lift up your eyes unto the hills."

The view from the hills is far more simple than the view among the streets. Live simply, and focus on the important things in life, and how thankful you are in feeling, not for them, but in them. With a grateful heart you can confer prosperity on everything and everyone you touch. Appreciate the many and stop limiting yourself to the few, and let you inner radiance and beauty astound people and bring forth abundance in your life.
