Getting More of What You Want - Part 03 - Being Specific

This is Part 3 in a series to help you get more of what you want, no matter how stuck you've been.
HOW TO GET MORE OF WHAT YOU WANT PART 3: BEING SPECIFIC ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT
Imagine that you are given a room with blank walls, and given all the colours of paint that exist, and given permission to paint the walls any colours you want. Imagine that in addition, you are encouraged to pick the colour(s) you like (regardless of what other people may think), and that, if you did not like the end result, you could repaint the walls as many times as you wish, until you liked it.
Well, what if life was exactly like that?
What if you were not a bystander to life, but were actually creating your experience, moment by moment?
In Part 2 you learned about the importance of knowing what you want. Now we're taking this a step further and digging into starting to get specific about exactly
what you want.
Imagine walking into a car dealership and asking them for a car. When asked what car you'd like, you're unlikely to say 'Oh well, one with wheels, you know, that can get me from A to B'.
You probably also do not walk into a restaurant and ask them to bring you 'whatever'!
Yet that's how a lot of people live their lives, not quite sure what they want yet somehow surprised when they don't get it!
Isn't it true that the more specific you can be, saying you want a blue one, with leather seats, and power steering, and a sunroof, and automatic transmission - the better the chances are that you'll actually get the car you want?
Life is the same.
You could think that you'd like to live in a 'nice' house; being specific means you'll know how many bedrooms it has, what the roof and the garden and the windows look like, and if it's next to a river or overlooks he sea or the city.
You could think that you'd like to be in a 'nice' relationship. Being specific means you'll know what the other personal will be like, e.g. patient, fun, soulfun, or whatever things are important to you in a partner. And more importantly, and we'll talk about more about this later in the series, how would you want to feel in the relationship? Loved, safe, happy?
You could want a 'nice' career. Being specific means you'll know what your ideal day is like; who would be be working with, what would your workplace be like, how would you feel about it when you woke up in the morning or go to bed at night.
ANTIDOTE
The more specific you are about exactly how you'd like your life to be, the better the chances are that you'll create it so.

Whenever limitations come up, the only question to ask yourself is if you could choose ANYTHING and ANYTHING was possible, what would you choose?
