Is It Harvest Time Yet?

I was asked to speak at one of our regional meetings for my company about why I love what I do and the first thing that came to mind was all those people sitting there, and as I copy this from my original notes I can honestly say that you are the reason that I love what I do. I love being able to help others see their dreams and goals come true and to know that by doing that my dreams and goals will be accomplished as well. There is such a satisfaction in working hard, not giving up, even when things get hard and reaching my goals, even through the obstacles.

So as we begin this article let me ask you 2 questions. Do you have complete financial freedom? You have no debts, and you can do what you want when you want. If not then do you want it?

Did you know that you have been given a great opportunity in MLM/Network Marketing? The ability over a period of time to create for yourself a continual stream of income that can set you free from financial worries. Imagine being able to take 3-4 vacations a year, never having to worry about where the money is going to come from to fix your house or car. What about sending your children or grandkids to university. This is what is possible when you grow as a leader and teach others to do the same.

So what is the power of MLM and why can it change your life. It is the ability to leverage your current actions for future gain. The hard work you do now will reap benefits down the road.

It is like a farmer who plants corn. First he has to get the ground ready, till it, plow it, get all the rocks up, add fertilizer, you know the stinky kind. For you that means getting out there and talking to people. Getting out of your comfort zone, learning new things, taking chances, finding out that "No" can be one of your new best friends.

Then you plant the seed. This is the beginning of your Network Marketing business where it seems to be all work and little reward. Then as the plants start to grow comes the weeding and feeding where you sort your team and find the ones that want what you want. This is also the time where you need to feed yourself and your team with good training and learning.

As the heads form on the corn it gets exciting, because you know that harvest is just around the corner, and this can be the hardest time, because you are starting to see results, but you also know that it wouldn't take much for it to crumple. This where you need to be patient and to just keep on going.

Then comes the harvest, where all your hard work and sacrifice pays off. This is the place where you have a strong stable team, with trained leaders who are growing on their own without any effort from you. Just like a corn on the cob can have 800 or more kernels on it, just imagine what your team can be like when you have all these people sowing & reaping as well.

None of use wants bad things to happen, but in this world there is no guarantee of that, but if you were to grow your team to a great place, at least you wouldn't have to worry if you or your spouse got sick and you couldn't work. Your business would continue to pay you even if you can't work it for a time. That's what financial freedom is.

In closing I would like to remind you to never give up on your hopes and your dreams, and the best piece of advice that I can give you on growing your team is to never stop talking to people and to bring your team members with you when you do.
